Sports Will Not Die In 2016 – NSA Boss

joe kpengeThe Director-General of the National Sports Authority (NSA), Mr Joe Kpenge has told Ghanaians that sports will not decline next year despite a slash in the sports budget for the year.
He said the NSA will find alternative ways to get funds for their activities, thus there is no way sporting activities in the country will see a decline.
Mr Kpenge said this in an interview with the media at a seminar organised by the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC).
He mentioned that sports infrastructure in the country are not in good shape due to the kind of maintenance culture adopted by Ghanaians, adding that his outfit will look forward to get funds to keep the structures in good shape.
He added that the NSA will operate with the limited resources available to them, but will pursue the agenda of Public-Private Partnership.
He explained that the partnership will see the NSA partner private companies to generate funds for sporting activities next year.
The NSA boss said his office will not solely depend on government but will think outside the box to find alternative sources of funding.
