Ghana Weightlifting Rising Star revealed

Weightlifting as a sport in Ghana is beginning to gain prominence after various athlete in the categories are winning medals in their respective categories in Africa and around the world for Ghana.
A rising star that is showing glimpses of a true world champion in his category of 85kg is Christian Amoah.
The 17 year old who is currently ranked number 29 in the world in the 85kg category of the sports will be looking to make a mark from himself and Ghana in the coming years.
Having won silver at the Africa Youth Games in Botswana , the youngster is undoubtedly a star in a making.
In an interview with sportscrusader.com, he said, “getting up through the ranks has not being an easy task and am really looking forward to make an impact in the sport of weightlifting and qualifying for the Olympics as well”.
The youngster also emphasized on the support he has received from the authorities at the helm of affairs at the weightlifting Association especially the President Mr. Ben Mensah and he also thanked his coach for his believe in him.
