Ivorian referee to whistle Hearts of Oak versus Kamsar Champions League tie

Ivorian referees will handle Hearts of Oak’s CAF Champions League preliminary round clash with Guinean side CI Kamsar in Accra on September 13.

The centre referee Patrick Tanguy will be supported by compatriots Kouame Gabriel Kangah, Kalilou Bamba and Allou Franc Eric Miessan.

Only the match commissioner Sekou Wieh Konneh is not Ivorian as he hails from Liberia, while the Covid-19 officer Dr Christiana Baah is Ghanaian.

The two sides were originally scheduled to face off in a two-legged tie but a coup d’etat in Guinea almost a fortnight ago forced CAF to invoke its laws to make it a one-off game to be played in the Ghanaian capital.

The winner of the one-off decider will progress to the next stage of the continent’s elite club competition.
