Kenya’s Nyayo Stadium to host Ethiopia vs. Ghana 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier

The Ethiopia Football Federation have sent a request to the Football Kenya Federation over the use of the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi in the World Cup qualifications.

Ethiopia were supposed to host Ghana at the Bahir Dar Stadium next month in match day but the stadium has been suspended by CAF.

CAF ordered Ethiopia to submit a new venue to host the Black Stars in November latest Wednesday 20 October 2021.

The Ethiopia Football Federation has now chosen the Nyayo National Stadium in Kenya to host Ghana in the penultimate round of the fixtures.

The Black Stars will take on South Africa in the final round.

Ghana currently lie 2nd on the standings in Group G with just a point behind leaders South Africa while Ethiopia are 3rd and Zimbabwe languishing bottom.
