Chief Executive Officer of RITE Sports Yaw Sakyi Afari has stated the changed format of the celebrated Sprite Ball Championship will become the order of the day.
He said this at the launch of the Sprite Ball Xpressions- a competition that is an expanded version of the Sprite Ball Championship with a prominent music component-at the De’lish Restaurant on Wednesday, November 24.
Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA) Vice President-Administration, Alex Kukula and Coca-Cola Company Ghana Market Execution Manager Elijah Nartey were present at the program.
Taking time to explain the new format, Afari stated, “Sprite globally is embracing music…it became necessary to include music in this year’s Sprite Ball so the Xpressions you see is the music component of this year’s program and since it is the global direction of the brand (Sprite), Sprite Ball Xpressions will become the order of the day so you will see basketball but you will see also music activated just like we do activate for basketball.”
The Music Competition-to be held virtually-and basketball competitions finales are to be held at the Aviation Social Center in Accra on December 24.
