Havedzi Mighty Warriors win maiden CAL Bank Beach Soccer Union Cup 2021 in Keta

Havedzi Mighty Warriors have been crowned Champions of the maiden CAL Bank Beach Soccer Union Cup 2021 after whipping Teshie United 2-0 in the finals in Keta.

The Kedzi based team started the two-day tournament on a high note, they won their opening game against Vodza Mighty Breakers 3-0 and went ahead to defeat Sea Sharks and Nungua Beach Soccer Club 3-1, and 4-0 respectively to book a final spot against Teshie United who also qualified for the final.

Havedzi Mighty Warriors are one of the successful Beach Soccer Club’s Ghana and the Volta region can boast of having won the 2014-15 Beach Soccer League, the Keta Cup and the Super League in Cape Coast in 2019.

The tournament in Keta was contested by eight elite Beach Soccer Clubs in Ghana and was grouped in two, A and B, both groups had four teams.

Group A comprised Keta Sunset Sports, Ada Assurance, Nungua BSC and Layoca BSC while Group B had Havedzi Mighty Warriors BSC, Vodza Iron Breakers, Sea Sharks and Teshie United.

The 2-day tournament was aimed at promoting the development of Club Beach Soccer in Ghana and to outdoor the newly formed Ghana Beach Soccer Clubs Union.

The Beach Soccer Union was formed four months ago with Yaw Kusi Gyamfi Awere as the Chairman, Dzidodo Ruben Adjahoe as Vice-chairman, Nana Poku Amankwah as Secretary, Fifii Davies as Treasurer, and Mark Sana, member.
