Karela strike late to deny RTU in Tamale

Real Tamale United failed to get back to winning ways after drawing 1-1 with Karela United in Tamale on Sunday.

The Northern giants will feel disappointed with the outcome having controlled the game for most parts.

They took the lead seconds before halftime thanks to midfielder Iddrisu Gadafi. A deserved lead for RTU who played well in the first 45 minutes.

RTU held onto the lead until the 75th minute when they surrendered it as winger Kelvin Andoh equalised for the away side.

Desperate to score a second, RTU threw everything at Karela but the westerners were resolute and claimed a crucial point.

Karela remain in the top half thanks to the result while RTU are just three points above the relegation zone.
