Retired referee Attiffu showers praise on journalist cum ref Rastum Gameli Senorgbe

Rastum Gameli has been the focus in the media after the game since both teams did not complain about his officiating including the supporters of both sides.

Attiffu disclosed that he was shortlisted to be appointed as a FIFA referee but unfortunately did not make the final list.

He said he personally spoke to him when he was appointed to officiate the game “I spoke to all the referees, there was a lot of tension in the media calling it super clash, clash of the Titan and many more so I asked him to be calm and handle it in a normal way”.

Attiffu said he had a lengthy discussion with him on the game because the game will not be extraordinary as the people suggested, he told skyy sports.

He also said Rastum Gameli Senorgbe is a class one referee who has made his name and announced his presence as a top referee and hopes he can go far, “Some referees have used Heart and Kotoko game to be top referees, the likes of Yao Bless, Ben Vormawor and so as Gameli”.

Mr Attiffu said games of this nature are to be officiated by top referees but it is also a plus for the nation and young referees to also announce their presence in the game.

Rastum Gameli Senorgbe is a radio broadcaster in Volta Region with Premier Radio.
