Amaju Pinnick, others throng Accra to offer sympathy to Ghana FA President Simeon-Okraku

President of the Nigeria Football Association Amaju Pinnick who doubles as FIFA Executive Council Member was in Ghana on Friday, February 25, to throw his weight behind his Ghanaian colleague – Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku during the final funeral rites of his Dad George Ofei Simeon-Okraku.

The 52- year old football colossus was part of a number of International dignitaries who travelled to Accra to show solidarity and support to the family of President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku. Mr. Pinnick was in Ghana as a representative of FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

Other dignitaries included Benin Football Association Vice President, Magloire Oke and Balima Buraima – Executive Director for the West African Football Union (WAFU). Balima Buraima who served as the General Secretary of the Burkina Faso Football Association is a Diplomat at the Burkina Faso Embassy in Accra.

The Football fraternity – both local & International, demonstrated immense support towards the GFA President in this difficult time as they came out in their numbers at the final funeral rites of the late father of Kurt E.S Okraku.
