Defending champs Hearts of Oak squeeze through to MTN FA Cup quarter finals

Holders Hearts of Oak are through to the Quarterfinals of the MTN FA Cup after a pulsating Round of 16 game against Elmina Sharks.

The Phobian’s squeezed through with 8-7 score line during penalty shoot outs after the game ended 2-2 at full time.

The Round of 16 games kick started on Saturday with King Faisal handing RTU a shocking 2-4 defeat at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

Dreams FC also found themselves in the final 8 of the competition after beating Legon Cities 2-4 on penalties(0-0) at full time.

Tamale City also accounted for Young Apostles in a seven goal thriller which saw the game 5-2.

The games continued on Sunday with Skyy FC, Kotoku Royals and Bechem United all grabbing slots in the next stage after beating their opponents.
