Ghana midfielder Edmund Addo makes injury comeback in Sheriff Tiraspol’s victory over Dinamo-Auto

Black Stars midfielder Edmund Addo has recovered from the injury that kept him out of Ghana’s game against Nigeria in the World Cup playoff.

Edmund Addo started and lasted the entire duration as Sheriff Tiraspol defeated Dinamo-Auto to progress in the Moldovan Cup.

The 21-year-old picked the injury during training ahead of the game against the Super Eagles in the World Cup playoff last month.

But last night, the midfielder played a pivotal role as Sheriff defeated Dinamo-Auto in a five-goal thriller.

The Moldovan giants got off to great start after Burkina Faso midfielder Cedric Badolo netted a brace before the 35th minute.

Pernambuco rounded off an electric first half with Sheriff’s third in the 41st minute.

However, Dinamo pulled one back at the stroke of half time through Octavian Bullat before Andrei Bursuc scored a consolation in the second half.

Edmund Addo is expected to leave the club in the summer transfer window with interest coming in from the Netherlands, Belgium and Serbia.
