Napoli win the first Serie A title in 33 years after Osimhen secured a 1-1 draw with Udinese

Team Napoli won the Serie A Scudetto final against Udinese after Napoli attacker Victor Osimhen’s second-half goal secured a 1-1 draw with Udinese on Thursday night at their home in Friuli Stadium, an all-seater football stadium in Udine, Italy.

The “Partenope” win was long-awaited after 33 years, a first since 1987 when Napoli won with the football sensation Diego Maradona. Fan celebrations and fireworks flooded the streets from Naples to Udine.

BLOOD CHILLING ATMOSPHERE

The Friuli Stadium in Udine and Naples’ Flegrea Arena’s grand screen spectators packed the two venues like never before, thousands of people’s hearts pounding, fingertips chilling as the anticipation of the final moments is close, prayers poured in, trumpets blasted wildly and the cheering in the stands gave crowds goosebumps.

Flags, banners and blue smoke bombs transformed the scene of a live TV broadcast match into the most beautiful party and atmosphere in the streets. For Team Napoli from supporters who are 800 km away, were unable to experience the celebration live but the positive energy they received from Naples was very strong.

GAMEPLAY

After a quiet first half with 0-1 for Udinese, Napoli regained their gameplay and went to attack in the second half. Napoli’s Osimhen, once again, made himself indispensable and fired a powerful goal. A last-moment draw is enough for Napoli. This opportunity can no longer escape, the wait has become really intolerable.

Meanwhile, the Neapolitans gathered in Arena Flegrea, to watch the final match on the grand screen 800km away from the actual event and cheered during the penalty shots: from “I will be with you” to “Oi Vita, Oi Vita Mia”. The fireworks outside the stadium begin to light up the sky of Naples.

WIN MOMENT

Meanwhile, a police helicopter immediately arrives to carefully fly over the Fuorigrotta arena. The waiting is over, the moment is about to arrive. The blood boils inside and the lungs begin to tighten. Naples is ready to flood with joy, liberating shouts, tears of joy, hugs to friends and relatives when match commentators announced the end of the match on the grand screens.

The memories made in Nalpes’ Flegrea Arena from celebrations and hugs will remain forever imprinted in the minds of those who were cheering from afar, those who couldn’t be physically at the match, those who are sick at the hospital or watching from home, all of Naples were present not missing a second of this crazy moment, so longed for. This win is for all of us.
