16 clubs in hunt for Futsal glory, league kicks off July 20

The 2024 Futsal Premier League season will kick off on Saturday, July 20, with sixteen clubs set to compete for honours.

This follows a stakeholder engagement between the leadership of the Ghana Football Association, the Futsal Committee, and the Sixteen Futsal Premier League clubs.

The meeting was attended by President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo, Referees Manager Alex Kotey, staff of the Competitions Department as well as Chairman and Members of the Futsal Committee.

All modalities for the league season were discussed with great inputs from the club representatives to further enhance the competition. Equipment and financial support for the clubs were also agreed upon by all parties.

This year, the 16 participating clubs will play each other in a round robin league format, after which the team with the most points at the end of the season is declared champions while the two bottom placed clubs will be relegated from the top flight.

The Futsal clubs include Real Heart Futsal Club, Blessed Stars Futsal Club, Future Stars Futsal Club, King Solomon Futsal Club, AMG Futsal Club, Dokota Futsal Club, GADU Futsal Club, Y2K Futsal Club, DANAC Futsal Club, and Stitch in Time Futsal Club.

Others are Auxano Futsal Club, Cancheros Futsal Club, Adenta Youth Futsal Club, San Ciro Futsal Club, Blessed Kickers Futsal Club, and Blooming Smiles Futsal Club.

San Siro Futsal Club won the 2023 edition of the Futsal Premier League after dispatching AMG Futsal Club 5-1 in the final.
