Over 30 African countries in the Paris Olympics are still without a single medal, among them Nigeria, Cameroon, Ghana, Mozambique, Libya, Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania, DRC, Congo, Angola, South Sudan, Sudan, Senegal, Zimbabwe,, Malawi, Swaziland and Ivory Coast
Kenya is still on top of the list of African countries on the medals table.
The Kenyans are 42nd overall but lead Africa with one gold, one silver and three bronzes while second-placed South Africa have one gold, one silver and two bronze medals.
Uganda are third on one gold and one silver followed by Morocco with one gold and a bronze.
In joint fifth place is Algeria and Botswana, each with one gold.
Kenya’s rivals Ethiopia are sixth with two silvers followed by Tunisia’s one silver and bronze in seventh position, while Cape Verde, Egypt and Zambia are jointly placed eighth with a bronze each.
