GFA President Kurt Okraku grateful to President Mahama, Ghanaians after CAF Executive election

My Dear Ghanaian Brothers and Sisters,

I am deeply humbled and honoured to have been elected to serve on the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

I am overwhelmed with gratitude and humility as I extend my sincerest appreciation to His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama, and his government for the unwavering support, guidance, and encouragement throughout this journey.

I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Minister of Sports and Recreation, Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams, for his immense support, which has been crucial to my election success.

I further extend my deepest gratitude to my hard-working colleagues on the Executive Council of the Football Association for their prayers and support as I navigate this new path.

I would also like to express my sincerest thanks to the staff of the Ghana Football Association for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to football in the country. This accomplishment is as much yours as it is mine.

To the members of the Executive Committee of WAFU B, President of WAFU A, and all members of WAFU and CAF, I thank you for your trust and confidence in me. I look forward to working closely with each of you to develop and promote African football.

Finally, to my family, the entire football fraternity in Ghana and across Africa—thank you for your continued support, belief, and love for the game.

I am humbled to be given the chance to serve on the highest decision- making body of the continent’s governing body and pledge my loyalty to the leadership of CAF and FIFA.

I am honoured to serve Ghana, WAFU, and CAF, and I pledge to work tirelessly to promote the development of African football and contribute meaningfully to the development of the game across the continent.

Thank you, and God bless us all.
