2025 Millennium Marathon set for September 6, launch in Accra on Tuesday

This year’s launch of the Millennium Marathon marks the beginning of what promises to be one of the most exciting editions of the half Marathon yet.

The 2025 event, set for September 6 in Accra, aims to welcome an even larger pool of international elite athletes, as well as representatives from global NGOs participating for charitable causes.

The Minister for Sports and Recreations of Ghana has promised to grace the launch as the Special Guest of Honour, alongside key dignitaries, sponsors, international partners, and stakeholders from the sports and health sectors.

The Millennium Marathon Sports team visited the Minister and he was happy to be part of the sports and recreation event.

The official launch of the 2025 Millennium Marathon is scheduled to take place next Tuesday, April 22 t the Press Centre of the Accra Sports Stadium.

Ernest Buamah, General Manager said the presence and coverage of the media would be instrumental in amplifying the marathon’s mission of promoting health, fitness, tourism, and social impact through sports.

The event will include an official unveiling of this year’s theme and logo, partnership announcements, and an outline of the exciting programs leading up to the race day.
