CAF President Dr Motsepe Announces CAF Vice Presidents at Executive Committee Meeting in Ghana

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) Executive Committee (“EXCO”) met in Accra, Ghana on Saturday ahead of the Final matches of the CAF African Schools Football Championship.

CAF President Dr Patrice Motsepe, who chaired the meeting, announced five new CAF Vice Presidents.

The newly-elected CAF Vice Presidents are: 

  • CAF First Vice President: Mr Fouzi Lekjaa (Morocco)
  • CAF Second Vice President: Mr Kurt Okraku (Ghana)
  • CAF Third Vice President: Mr Pierre-Alain Mounguengui (Gabon)
  • CAF Fourth Vice President: Ms Bestine Kazadi Ditabala (Democratic Republic of Congo)
  • CAF Fifth Vice President: Mr Feizal Sidat (Mozambique)

Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku is new 2nd Vice-President of CAF

Additionally, Dr Motsepe announced that Mr Yacine Idriss Diallo, President of Fédération Ivoirienne de football (“FIF”), has been co-opted onto the CAF Executive Committee.

The CAF Executive Committee also approved the names to fill vacant positions on sseveral CAF Committees.

Organizing Committee for the African Nations Championship (“CHAN”)

  • President: Mr Pierre-Alain Mounguengui (Gabon)

CAF Technical and Development Committee

  • President: Samuel Eto’o (Cameroon)
  • Vice President: Mr Malouche Belhassen (Tunisia)

CAF Medical Committee:

  • President: Dr. Mohammed Bouya (Mauritania)
  • Vice President: Dr. Thulani Ngwenya (South Africa)

Dr. Motsepe expressed gratitude to the outgoing CAF Vice-Presidents for their contributions and leadership during their tenure.
