Golden Kick chairman Joseph Kwabena Epson has expressed confidence in his team’s ability to compete against any opponent in the upcoming Ghana FA Cup final.
Golden Kick FC and Attram De Visser are on the brink of making history, as the two Division One League sides prepare for a crucial FA Cup semi-final clash at the TNA Stadium on Saturday, May 10.
The winner will join the ranks of Okwahu United and Bofoakwa Tano as the only second-tier sides to reach the final since FC Nania’s famous 2010/2011 triumph.
Speaking to Asempa FM, Epson said, “We’re not afraid to face any team in the final.
“We’ve already met two Premier League clubs. One of them is Hearts of Oak, who are one of the best teams in Ghana.
“If we could beat Hearts of Oak, it would be no news if we beat Kotoko or Berekum Chelsea.”
Golden Kick have impressed in this year’s competition, eliminating Premier League giants Hearts of Oak and Karela United. They have scored four goals and kept four clean sheets in their five matches so far.
Attram De Visser, on the other hand, have netted five goals and conceded three, including a hard-fought win over Bibiani Gold Stars in the Round of 16.
