Nine-year-old Ishmael Quartey has made an impressive mark on the juvenile boxing scene, emerging champion in the 23–26 kg category in his very first tournament appearance, the Accra Box Cup 2026.

The young boxer, a native of Osu, delivered a standout performance throughout the competition, culminating in a closely contested final bout against his teammate, Elliot Ayi-Bontey.

She noted that bringing him to the gym consistently from Monday to Friday has not only improved his abilities but also ensured he enjoys the process. For her, his happiness and growth remain the top priorities.
