Rhoda Boadu and Efia Oforiwa donate to Asoba Table Tennis Foundation

Rhoda Boadu and Efia Oforiwa Owusu-Agyei donated some table tennis items to Asoba Table Tennis Foundation over the weekend at Ofankor in Accra.

Efia Oforiwa is the Women’s Commissioner of the Ghana Table Tennis Association whilst Rhoda Boadu is a table tennis player based in the United Kingdom.

They were giving back to society because table tennis made them who they are today and they donated 200 pieces of professional table tennis balls, some racket cases, table tennis kits including jerseys to the female players of Asoba Foundation.

“Young talents are a great resource to every society. It is therefore my duty as GTTA Women’s Coordinator to ensure the safety and welfare of all young table tennis players especially our female talents,” Efia Oforiwa said.

“Table tennis is what made me who I am today, I am ready to impact and empower players to enable them reach the level I am now,” she added.

The coach for Asoba Table Tennis Foundation, Dora Sarpong had this to say; “We are grateful for the items. The balls, kits and racket cases are great motivation for my players. As the coach of the foundation, I will continue to train my players to become world champions in future.”

The kids were refreshed with drinks and snacks after the presentation of the items.
