18 year old Isaac Oppong receives Kotoko player of the month award for November

Asante Kotoko young forward, Isaac Oppong has today received his reward after being crowned North America Circle 001 player for the month of November.

The combative midfielder who has been very prominent for the team warded off competition from Razak Abalora and Mudasiru Salifu to win the Player of the month award.

Oppong, 18, has been in blistering form since joining Asante Kotoko from Sunyani-based second Division club, Bactero Sasana in the last transfer window.

The 18-year-old has now been involved in six goals, more than any player in the top-flight. He has scored three and assisted two.

In November, Oppong played four matches and netted twice coupled with some blistering performances which aided him to beat his competitors for this award.

The youngster for his reward has been given a plaque and a cash prize of GHS2,000 from the North America Circle. The presentation was done by National Circles Council leader, Christopher Damenya and his executives.

This award will boost Oppong’s confidence to do more for the club in today’s game against King Faisal at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
