Cabic Promotions chief Ivan Bruce Cudjoe reiterates commitment to produce world champion for Ghana

Kenya’s boxing poster boy, Rayton ‘Boom Boom’ Okwiri has once again challenged Ghana’s Patrick Allotey for a fight at his own backyard even if it means in his “own bedroom.”

Okwiri was scheduled to meet Allotey last December but the Ghanaian boxer pulled out at the eleventh hour due to a supposed shoulder injury.

“He was not injured, he was just scared of me that’s why he feigned injury,” insists Okwiri.

Okwiri’s accusations were lent credence when Cabic Promotions and Management opted for a weaker opponent in Tanzania’s Hamisi Maya instead of Okwiri as per their December 26 contract. Allotey fights the Tanzanian on March 26 in Accra for the WBO junior middleweight title, an easy fight for Allotey given that the weak Tanzanian boxers are now being used to build records for their opponents.

An adamant Rayton Okwiri is still calling out Patrick Allotey to settle the verdict in the ring

Incensed by Okwiri’s remarks, the Project Manager and PRO of Cabic Promotions, Gideon Oyiadzo Jingle says they’re ready to organise the Okwiri versus Allotey fight provided the costs will be shared.

“Why share the costs, they’re just looking for an excuse,” says Okwiri, adding: “If they were to stage the Dec 26 card why change now they want a partner. That’s cowardice. If Allotey is man enough let him fight me now, he’ll see fire, he’s just a big coward.”
