Two changes for Black Stars against Madagascar

Otto Addo has made two changes to his starting lineup for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Madagascar on Monday. Defender Jerome Opoku and midfielder Abu Francis have been handed starting roles in place of Ernest Nuamah and Inaki Williams in a 3-5-2 system that requires deputy captain Thomas Teye Partey to pair with Francis Abu in midfield.

Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare maintains his spot in post and will have Alexander Djiku, Mohammed Salisu, and Jerome Opoku in the three-back system, which will push Kingsley Schindler and Gideon Mensah into wide positions as wingbacks.

Ghana’s attack is spearheaded by Antoine Semenyo and captain Jordan Ayew, with Mohammed Kudus operating behind them.

The Black Stars go into the game looking to cement their position in Group I after moving top of the table on Friday following the 5-0 win over Chad.

The game against Madagascar is scheduled for a 19:00 kickoff at the Grande Stade Al Hoceima in Morocco.
