Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s fearless captain, Ndongo Samba Gilbani O’Neil, has thrown down the gauntlet, promising a resounding win for his team against Moroccan giants, Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) in their upcoming CAF Confederation Cup clash in Accra on Sunday.

Speaking in an exclusive interview, O’Neil exuded confidence and determination, emphasizing his team’s relentless preparation and focus on emerging victorious.

“We’re going for a win, regardless of the opponent,” he declared.

“In football, pressure is normal, but ours is positivity. We just want to beat Wydad and make our fans proud,” he added.

O’Neil’s words are backed by Kotoko’s impressive recent performances, including their thrilling victories in the Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup. With their sights set on continental glory, the Porcupine Warriors are determined to make a statement against Wydad.

As the teams prepare to face off at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 19, 2025, O’Neil’s promise of victory has sent shockwaves of excitement among Kotoko fans.

“The stage is set. The Porcupine Warriors are ready. This Sunday, we face Wydad AC in a crucial CAF Confederation Cup encounter. Join us in full voice and spirit as we march towards ‘Red Redemption,” O’Neil said.

“Let’s paint the stadium red and show our opponents the true meaning of Porcupine pride! We’re counting on your support! Let’s make this a night to remember! Let’s go Kotoko.”
