Cynthia Kwabi emerged champion of the Sheroes 2 “Love Edition” Singles tournament on Saturday, producing a dominant display to end Augustina Baidoo’s bid for a third consecutive title.
Kwabi progressed from a competitive group stage before cruising past Millicent Mettle 3–0 in the round of 16. She followed up with a commanding 4–1 victory over Celia Baah Danso in the quarterfinals and defeated Hilda Agbottah 4–2 in the semifinals to book her place in the final.
The highly anticipated final against Joanita Borteye, however, proved less dramatic than expected, as Kwabi asserted control early and maintained her composure to seal a convincing 4–1 win.
The result brings an end to Baidoo’s impressive run in the Sheroes Series. The two-time champion had been chasing a third straight crown but had to settle for a joint third-place finish.
Joanita Borteye finished as runner-up after an impressive campaign, while Hilda Agbottah and Augustina Baidoo claimed joint third place.
Kwabi’s victory adds a new name to the Sheroes honours list and sets the stage for the upcoming “Show Time” edition of the series scheduled for February 21, 2026, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
