WAFU ZONE B WCL: Hasacaas Ladies thrash AS Police to book semi-final spot

Hasacaas Ladies FC secure semi-final spot in WAFU Zone B Women’s Champions League with a comfortable win over AS Police de Niamey.

Hasmal ease past AS Police, 3-0 in their second group game at Robert Champroux Stadium.

Hassacas after picking a defeat in the opening game had a good start as Doris Boaduwaa shot inside first 10 minutes was saved by opposing goalkeeper.

The Ghanaian champions continued to dominate and take the game to their Nigerien counterparts.

Eventually, Boaduwaa grabbed the opener on the 22nd minutes.

Shortly after taking the lead Hasaacas conceded a penalty but Grace Banwaa was up to the task, saving the situation by going the right way.

Milot Pokuaa in additional time extended the lead for Hasmal with a powerful header to conclude the first half with a 2-0 lead.

Pokuaa grabbed a brace later in the second half to wrap-up the victory.

The ‘Doo’ girls managed the second half by holding more of the ball to finish the match with their 3-0 scoreline.

The Takoradi based side following the win finished second to Angels Rivers FC who top the table with 6 points. Hence, the Green and Whites will play the winner of Group A in the semis.

Hasaacas Ladies will have to win the Zone in order to join other five CAF zones to make group stage of the main tournament in an 8 team group of four championship.
