Tagoe claimed a unanimous points decision over Ashie in their first fight in 2012 but Red Tiger has never accepted the verdict. Now he has the chance for redemption or forever shut up

Emmanuel Tagoe AKA Game Boy and George Ashie AKA Red Tiger have both agreed to face off in the ring once again in a rematch of their highly attended and equally controversial clash in nearly two years ago.

Tagoe was the victor back on November 10 2012, claiming a 114-114, 115-113, 116-112 majority decision victory to also annex the then vacant WBA International Lightweight belt. Ashie and his large army of fans were however not in agreement with the judges and have never accepted the defeat up to this day.

Two years on and the same Box Office Sports Promotions which staged that fight in collaboration with national football team captain, Asamoah Gyan’s Babyjet Promotions have scheduled Boxing Day, December 26 as the perfect date to give both boxers the stage to settle the score once and for all.

Reports also have it that both boxers are in on the fight and have given their consent for arrangements to begin for the expected super fight boxing fans can’t wait to see with a date for signing fight contracts imminent.

Freshly coming off staging the most publicized, even if not the biggest boxing event in the history of this country back on May 15 a la Bukom Banku versusd Ayitey Powers, Alex Ntiamoah-Boakye’s Box Office Sports Promotions hope to set even higher pedestals with Ashie-Tagoe 2 which they are also promoting in association with Babyjet Promotions who have since signed a 3-year management deal with Tagoe.
