eeds United have confirmed the signing of Daniel James from Manchester United in a deal believed to be worth around £25million.
The Wales international has started two of the Red Devils’ three Premier League matches so far this campaign, but late transfer activity at Old Trafford has set off a domino effect which has culminated in James’ exit.
The Manchester club announced the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo at the weekend, with the sensational transfer sending shockwaves through the football fraternity.
The return of the Portuguese, however, meant United’s attacking stable had one too many bodies and James was the man who had to make way.
But United’s loss is Leeds’ gain, with the Elland Road outfit finally getting their man two-and-a-half years after they first tried to sign the 23-year-old from Swansea.
