Opponents watch: Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen bags a brace in Napoli comeback win over Udinese

Ahead of their Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff against Ghana next Friday, Nigeria and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has announced himself once more as one of the players to watch in the tie against the Black Stars, after he scored twice to help the Sierie A giants come from behind to beat Udinese 2-1 on Saturday.

The Nigeria forward stole the headlines on Saturday afternoon with two goals against Udinese, scoring in the 52nd and 63rd minutes to help his side cancel their opponents’ 22nd minute opener through Gerard Deulofeu.

Osimhen’s goals has now pushed Napoli to close the gap between themselves and Serie A leaders AC Milan, sitting second with 63 points, 3 points behind.

The 23-year former Lille forward immediately took off to Nigeria, where he will join his international teammates in the Super Eagles camp for their crucial 2022 World Cup playoffs against Ghana.

Ghana will host Nigeria for the first leg of the 2022 World Cup playoff at the Baba Yara sports stadium on Friday March 25, 2022 and the second leg in Abuja the following Tuesday, March at the 29.
