Hearts of Oak 1-1 Karela: Phobians drop points as Kotoko are now one point away from title

Hearts of Oak shared the spoils 1-1 with Karela United on matchday 31 of Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.

Benjamin Yorke have Hearts the lead on the stroke of half time with a fine finish after a wonderful cross from Sulley Muntari.

The youngster calmly controlled the ball and although the were defenders onrushing him, he kept his cool and sent in a powerful shot beyond the reach of Karela goalkeeper.

After the break, Hearts saw a shot from Muntari blocked and another effort from Yorke was thwarted.

Emmanuel Owusu Boakye drew level for Karela with six minutes remaining following a poor defending from Hearts.

Hearts now have 48 points and occupy fourth position while their rivals Asante Kotoko top the log with 59 points.

Meaning Kotoko now need just a point from their four remaining games to win the Premier League title.
