Accra-based FIFA referee, Daniel Laryea, will officiate Tuesday’s Division One League Zone One playoff between Tamale City FC and Nsoatreman FC at the Accra Stadium at 3pm.
The nation’s topmost referee will be assisted by Kwesi Brobbey and Ato Yawson on the lines, with Maxwell Hanson as the fourth referee.
The playoff became necessary after the two sides tied at the top of the Zone One league table with the points, goal difference and the head-to-head record.
After 30 matches, both teams bagged 71 points. with Tamale City topping with 62 goals as against Nsoatreman’s 50 goals. However, Nsoatreman were better off on the account of goals against statistics with 16 goals conceded as against Tamale City’s 19 goals.
For the head-to-head tie, Tamale City beat their opponents 1-0 in the first round, while Nsoatreman reversed the scoreline in the second round.
The winner of Tuesday’s match will complete the list of teams which have qualified for the Ghana Premier League next season after Samartex and Kotoku Royals booked their tickets in Zones Two and Three respectively last week.
