Ex-Ghana midfielder Michael Essien continues to make big strides towards a career in football management.
The former Chelsea midfielder has successfully completed his UEFA licence A course.
The 40 year old posted a picture of himself with the certificate and the caption;
“Step by step, I am learning and growing as a coach. Happy to have completed my UEFA A and UEFA Elite Youth A license. Thanks to the family, @fawales, my tutors, my mentor and RTD/FCN for the support. And big thank you to Tom Vernon and Flemming Pedersen,”
The UEFA A Licence is one level below the UEFA Pro Licence and allows holders to be head coaches of youth teams up to age 18, reserve teams (also known as ‘B’ teams) for top-flight clubs, and men’s professional second-tier clubs.
