The International Boxing Association (IBA) have announced significant organisational changes to its Lausanne based Head Office, including the departure of Mr George Yerolimpos from his position as Secretary General and CEO. The IBA extends its appreciation to Mr Yerolimpos for his dedication and tireless efforts during his tenure and wishes him all the best in his future endeavors.
Considering this, the IBA is pleased to appoint Mr Chris Roberts OBE as the Interim Secretary General and CEO. Mr Roberts OBE has previously served as the Development Director and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role. His demonstrated leadership, dedication, and strategic vision make him an excellent fit for guiding the organization through this important period.
As IBA continues its commitment to developing the sport of boxing and protecting the interests of its athletes and national federations, the organization is confident in Mr. Roberts’ ability to provide effective leadership and ensure a seamless transition. His extensive knowledge of the industry and dedication to the IBA’s mission will undoubtedly contribute to its continued success.
