The Golden Arms of Ghana won 62 medals on day 1 of the 12th Africa Armwrestling Championship which shook off in Accra on Friday.
The Ghanaians, keen to impress as hosts, amassed the medal haul in the Left Arm battle.
The Golden Arms annexed 17 gold medals, 26 silver and 19 bronze as the continental event takes centre stage in Ghana for the first time.
