Rising boxing prospect Alfred Lamptey is set to face off against Richard Pumicpic in a super featherweight bout in the United Arab Emirates on July 22.
Lamptey, boasting an unblemished record of 12-0 with eight knockouts, will fight at the Studio City’s Sound Stage 3 in the Emirati capital, Dubai.
The fight card, organised by Disrupt Promotions, also features two world title fights and a line-up of elite level talents.
In the main event, Jazza Dickens from Liverpool will defend his IBO world featherweight title against Argentinian challenger Hector Andres Sosa, with Pakistan’s Muhammad Waseem and Filipino legend Donnie Nietes fighting for the vacant IBO bantamweight world title.
Waseem holds a record of 12-2 with 8 knockouts, while Nietes, a former four-weight world champion, has a record of 43-2-6 with 23 knockouts.
Lamptey’s opponent, Richard Pumicpic, is a Filipino journeyman who turned professional 15 years ago.
With two victories in his last five fights, he will aim to prove his mettle against the rising star and potentially disrupt the undefeated streak of the Ghanaian as he continues his journey towards becoming a world titlist.
Meanwhile, talented super-lightweight Arthur Biyarslanov, with a record of 12-0 and 10 knockouts, will also be in action as he puts his undefeated record on the line.
Additionally, UAE’s Fahad Al Bloushi (11-1, 2 KOs) will fight on home turf against British super-bantamweight Jack Turner (1-0, 1KO) in only his second professional fight after making his debut in Dubai last month.
