The presentation of Lionel Messi as an Inter Miami player drew a massive crowd at the DRV PNK Stadium to welcome the Argentine captain to his new team.
Hours later and with the excitement calmed down, La Pulga made a post on his Instagram account to thank the fans and artists who were present despite the rain and also to set the date for the next meeting with his fans.
The date is Friday 21 July, when Inter Miami will make their Leagues Cup debut against Cruz Azul at DRV PNK Stadium. Should Messi not take the field in this match, he will have his second chance on Tuesday 25 against Atlanta United in the other Group J match at the same stadium.
His MLS debut will have to wait until August 20, when his side host Charlotte FC and look to end an 11-game winless streak in the league.
