ProBox TV returns yet again this month with its second instalment of its popular mid-week promotion Wednesday Night Fights in Kissimmee, Florida on July 26th.
The evening’s main event will see Orlando Gonzalez (20-2, 12 KOs) take on Ramiro Cesena (16-1-1, 13 KOs) in the super featherweight division over 10 rounds in a Puerto Rico versus Mexico matchup.
Puerto Rico’s Gonzalez comes off a points’ victory over Rodrigo Guerrero in March, having previously knocked out William Gonzalez inside a round last November.
Cesena was unjustly given his first career defeat in April against Thomas Mattice. The fight goes down as a 10th round TKO loss, despite the stoppage being perceived as unworthy by most watching that evening.
The co-main event will see France’s Mohamed Mimoune (22-5, 3 KOs) lock horns with New York’s Steven Galeano (12-0, 9 KOs) in a 10 round super lightweight contest.
Southpaw Mimoune was last in action on ProBox TV in Plant City last year losing over the 10 round distance to Cesar Francis. He also went the distance with Ireland’s Tyrone McKenna last February, his last win coming at London’s York Hall where he scored a 5th round KO over the undefeated Darren Surtees.
Kicking off the televised card will be ProBox TV’s very own Darrelle Valsaint (8-0, 6 KOs) colliding with Ghana’s Daniel Aduku (15-3-1, 11 KOs) in the super middleweight division over 6 rounds.
Valsaint comes off a 2nd round knockout victory over Marcelo Fabian Bzowski in Plant City, and defeated Lucas de Abreu over the 6 round distance in February.
Aduku looks to get back to winning ways after a 4th round KO loss to Chordale Booker in April.
The show will be hosted by esteemed broadcaster Mike Goldberg and will be joined as always by former world champions, Paulie Malignaggi and Chris Algieri.
