Ghana will host the continental showpiece in March 2024 in Accra and the sector minister has already fixed his sights firmly on sweeping medals in track and field events.
The Minister has been engaging with the new leadership of Ghana Athletics during a courtesy call paid to him at his office.
On Wednesday, October 18, 2023, the Minister was formally greeted by the newly-elected executives of the association, who were led by President Bawa Fuseini at his office in Accra.
During the visit, the Minister tasked the new leadership to revive athletics in the West African nation and make it a sport of choice for sports lovers in the country.
