Bubbling with confidence, Africa Boxing Confederation (AFBC) Presidential candidate in the November 18 elections in Addis Ababa, Eyassu Wossen Berhane, said today Africa boxing will never be the same.
Addressing a press conference in Ethiopia’s capital city, Addis Ababa, Berhane promised a raft of changes which will catapult Africa boxing to dizzy heights of achievement.
In a separate interview with AFBC Communications, Berhane said he’s confident of victory against opposition from former AFBC President Bertrand Mendouga of Cameroon and Morocco’s Mohamed El Kabbouri
“I’ve got big plans for Africa boxing, it will never be the same again the world must feel our presence,” said the Ethiopian billionaire who’s also the President of Ethiopian Boxing Federation.
“For many years now Africa boxing has lacked visionary leadership that will take boxing in our continent to the next level, I will provide that with all my international connections and my financial capability.
“I’m very committed in my efforts to improve the overall management of Africa boxing, take care of the boxers’ welfare, empower coaches, R/Js, introduce more competitions and above all place more emphasis on junior and youth boxing which is my pet project.”
