Medeama receive GH¢1million support from President Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has fulfilled his generous pledge of GH¢1 million to support Medeama SC’s 2023/2024 CAF Champions League campaign.

The commitment was made during the club’s Ghana Premier League trophy presentation at the Jubilee House on August 2nd, 2023.

The sum was handed over to the MP for Takwa Nsuem, George Mireku Duker, on behalf of Medeama Sporting Club by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif.

“I had the privilege of presenting a GH¢1 million from H.E. President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to the MP for Takwa Nsuem, Hon. George Mireku Duker, on behalf of Medeama Sporting Club, as a fulfilment of his pledge to them for winning the 2022/23 league and also qualifying for the CAF Champions League,” the Minister wrote in a Facebook post.

“Together, we champion the spirit of sportsmanship and national pride. Best of luck to Medeama SC and I wish them well in their campaign in Africa.”

Medeama are currently third in Group D of the ongoing Champions League after three games.
