Ghana based Nigerian born boxer, Samson Solomon AKA Wotowoto (5-0, 5 KOs) who trains out of the Bronx Boxing Club in Accra, Ghana is the new man to watch as he gradually cements his name among the fast rising local boxers.
The Akwa Ibom state born fighter raised in Lagos and now happily married to a Ghanaian woman from the Volta Region, has set his eyes on greatness and that is to be a world beater through professional boxing. As well, Solomon is determined to make his family proud within a few years as he focuses on gradually climbing to the top.
“I have seen the hustle on the streets of Bukom and personally it wasn’t easy growing up as a child, struggling to make ends meet and dealing with depression as the third child of my family,” Solomon said.
“Since I started going to the gym, things began to change to normal. I discovered boxing through the Ashongman Boxing League and that was how I met my manager. Also, boxing has given me the opportunity to be myself,” Solomon added.
Samson remembers trying all sorts of jobs before becoming a professional boxer, however none of them gave him the satisfaction boxing did. That was the thing that made him decide to stick to boxing, in order to give back to the sport one day.
Suleiman Ikedi Enyioha Al Hikma is the manager of Samson Solomon and he is even more determined to make the boxer a champion.
“I have never had any regrets for meeting Samson. From the very first day I discovered him, we have been like a family,” Mr. Al Hikma said.
“He fights on the card as a Ghanaian although he is a Nigerian because he has lived his life here, same as myself the manager,” Solomon’s manager explained.
“I am willing to do whatever it takes for me to get him to the next level in his career as a boxer God willing,” he stated.
