Young defender, Gabriel Matumasey of Attram De Visser Soccer Academy has revealed his eagerness to play in the Ghana Premier League next season, and has declared a readiness to look at offers for his services.
In an exclusive interview during a training session at East Legon with many Ghanaian top flight stars including former national U-20 and Black Galaxies hitman, Daniel Lomotey, lanky Matumasey said that the time is right for him to move on and is very confident he can live up to the standards and excel for any side that signs him up.
“Yes I’m ready to play in the Premier League. Even though I’m young, I am very talented and also experienced enough to battle the top strikers,” the 6.2ft centreback said.
“I started 27 of the 33 matches my team played in the Ghana Division One League this past season. I think that shows how much trust the technical team have in me. I am ready if they reach an agreement with any team that comes knocking at my door.”
The robust Gabriel Matumasey started out at Still Believe FC, the feeder club of GFA President Kurt Okraku’s Dream FC before transferring in 2023 to Lapaz Israel based Attram De Visser, owned and managed by former Ghana national team striker, Godwin Attram.
Attram De Viser fiercely contested for qualification to the Ghana Premier League before eventually finishing 4th in the recently concluded Division One League Zone 3 of the 2023/24 season which was won by Vision FC.
