Morocco’s World heavyweight champion Khadija Mardi (pictured), world bronze medallist Yasmine Mouttaki and Africa Games bantamweight champion Widad Bertal arrived safely in Vittel, France, where they’re attending the pre-Games Olympic training camp for female boxers taking part in the Paris Olympics.
Mardi is leading the North African country’s onslaught for medals, and is one of the favourites for heavyweight gold medal.
The three boxers are under head coach, Abdelhak Achik, Morocco’s first boxer to win an Olympic medal – a bronze – at the 1988 Seoul Olympics in South Korea.
