Seventh African boxer shown the door at Paris Olympics: Algeria’s Jugurtha Ait Bekka fails to contain Cuba’s Erislandy Alvarez

It’s beginning to rain in Paris for African boxers.

Thunderstorms are rocking the sky as it gets darker with more clouds gathering threatening a heavy downpour.

Algeria’s two-time African champion Juguthar Air Bekka is the latest victim of the downpour as he went down 5-0 to Cuba’s world silver, medallist Erislandy Alvarez in the round of 16 light-welterweight bout today, July 29, at the North Paris Arena.

He becomes the seventh African boxer to kiss goodbye the Paris Olympic Games.
