The Ghana Professional Boxing League fight night 4 will be spiced up by Faisal Abubakari who defends his WBO Africa junior welterweight title against Samuel Opaogum of Nigeria as well as Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games medallist, Samuel Takyi who returns to the ring on Saturday, August 31, 2024 to continue his professional journey to a world title slot.
“After a long break from the professional ring and winning a gold medal for Ghana at the Africa Games, I’m back and ready for my 5th pro fight on August 31st, 2024,” said Samuel Takyi, fondly nicknamed Ring Warrior.

Abubakari who has been labeled as the Shatta Wale of Ghana boxing urged his fans to come in their numbers to cheer him in his first defence of the belt he won earlier this year against a tough Ugandan, Latibu Muwonge.
According to matchmaker Dan Donkor, the night will be thrilling as James Town Boxing Gym comes up against Attoh Quarshie in one of the league’s pairings.
He noted that the league is becoming heated up as clubs and boxers are finding their rhythm.
