An Accra based businessman, Farouk Saka and his family are in distress following a number of calls he has received from unknown phone numbers threatening himself, wife and kids, it has been reported to the Accra Central District Police.
Saka who is CEO of FK One Ventures, a company which operates in the central district of the capital city, reported to the Police that he received the strange call one morning whilst at work from an unknown person who made it clear they will kill himself and his “lesbian” wife because he was offering finacial assistance to certain politicians.
Saka’s 37 year old wife with whom he has four children, Jamilatu Abdul Karim, was prior to that attacked and beaten to pulp at Kasoa Nyanyano by a group of thugs who alleged they had caught her and a suppposed lesbian partner, one Fati Adams, in the act. She vehemently denied it, which was strongly supported by his husband who swore his wife is very committed to their marriage and reposed hia trust in her after 12 years of marriage.
Farouk Saka believes the threatening phone calls accusing him of offering financial incentives to some politicians is just a cover-up by some faceless people close to him who still harbour grudges against him for defending his wife and claiming her innocence. Sensing danger and fearing for his wife and children, Saka rushed to the Accra Central District Police Station in Tudu to lodge a formal complaint to get the law enforcement agencies involved.
The Police duly opened the case and subsequently proceeded to the complainant’s office as part of a swiftly launched investigation, a wind of which was caught by this reporter.
“On recepit of the report, a statement was obtained from the complainant. The Police went to the shop of the complainant but did not meet any suspicious characters,” noted the Police report dated 9 December, 2024 and signed by ASP Patrick Adu Boateng, Accra Central District Commander.
It further explained that the case is under investigation, with D/C/Inspector Kingsley Kwame Kissi in charge.
