PHOTOS: 2nd Duku paracycling festival rocks Accra on New Year’s Day

The 2nd edition of the ‘Duku festival’ para cycling championship rocked Osu in Accra on New Year’s day, Wednesday 1 January, 2025 with competitors battling for prizes in male tandem over 42.5 km, female tandem over 17 km, male amputee covering 42.5 km and male hand cycling over a distance of 17 km.

In the event hosted by the Ghana Cycling Federation (GCF) in partnership with Dot Ateliers, Peter Dery and Benjamin Boahen Agyemang came first in the male tandem race, with Favour Ayiglo and Abigail A. Tetteh clinching the female’s division.

Meanwhile, Richard Yaw Atta topped Ebenezer Mensah Adjei and Kingsley Ofori in that order to win the amputee race in a time of 2:04:08.24, whereas Frank Yaw Fuji emerged the hand cycling champion with a time of 1:10:12.97
