Nsoatreman book CAF Confederation Cup spot after MTN FA Cup triumph

Defending champions Nsoatreman FC have crashed out of the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup after losing to Young Apostles in the Round of 32. The Nsoatre-based side lost 4-3 on penalties after a keenly contested goalless game. The result ends Nsoatreman FC’s journey in the competition 203 days after beating Bofoakwa Tano to win the title.

There was another upset at the Nii Adjei Kraku II Sports Complex where Division One League side True Democracy piped Dreams FC 1-0 to knock them out of the competition. Adjei Martei scored the winning goal in the 84th minute to give his side passage into the Round of 16 of the MTN FA Cup.

Meanwhile, two-time winners Medeama SC advanced to the Round of 16 after beating Nsuopun Fidelity 4-2 in a frantic penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
