In a compassionate gesture demonstrating corporate social responsibility, the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, in partnership with Twellium Ghana, the renowned producers of Verna Mineral Water, has donated 48,000 bottles of water to support the state funeral of the fallen heroes who tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash.
The donation was officially presented during a visit to the Jubilee House, where representatives from Twellium Ghana, led by Mr. Kojo Siaw, Brand Manager of Verna Water, handed over the bottles to government officials.
Speaking at the presentation, Hon. Kofi Adams, Minister of Sports and Recreation, expressed deep appreciation for the generous contribution.
“On behalf of the government and the people of Ghana, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Verna Mineral Water for their support during this difficult time. Your donation of 2,000 packs of water will bring comfort to the families and loved ones of our fallen heroes, and it reflects your commitment to supporting our nation’s endeavours,” he said.
Expressing gratitude, Hon. Adams also acknowledged the efforts of Twellium Ghana and its commitment to corporate social responsibility.
“This act of kindness underscores the importance of unity and collective effort in times of national grief,” he remarked.
The donation underscores the spirit of solidarity and compassion that characterizes Ghana’s response to national tragedies. It is hoped that such initiatives will continue to foster community support and reinforce the nation’s resilience in the face of adversity.
Mr. Siaw emphasized Twellium Ghana’s dedication to community service, stating, “Our company’s commitment to improving healthcare delivery and supporting our community aligns with our ‘Verna Changing Lives’ initiative. We are proud to contribute to this noble cause and look forward to more opportunities to make a positive impact.”
