Black Princesses to host South Africa in 2026 U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers

GHANA’s women Under-20 side, the Black Princesses, will on Sunday host South Africa in the third round of the 2026 Women’s World Cup (WWC) qualifier at the Accra Stadium.

The Black Princesses will host the first leg of this crucial qualifier, aiming to advance to the fourth and final round and secure their eighth consecutive Women’s World Cup appearance, which will be held in Poland.

They began the campaign last month and progressed to this stage after beating Tunisia 4-0 on aggregate in the second round of qualifiers, winning each leg 2-0.

The second leg of this third round will be hosted by South Africa on the weekend of February 12 to 14.

Meanwhile, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Tunisian Referee Asma Chouchane to officiate Saturday’s encounter.

She will be assisted by compatriots Nesrine Quertatani and Khouloud Amri, with Emna Ajbouni as the fourth official.

Nigeria’s Ruth David serve as the Match Commissioner, with Senegalese Fatou Gaye appointed as the Referee Assessor.
